The Greenham Earwig Home, by Lisa Bloo
There was an earwig in my tent
It was just the other day
It sprang out of my sleeping bag
And I legged it to fetch Kay
She came out in her underwear
Her socks and shorts and vest
And lifted up my bedmat --
that's where we found the nest.I expressed my reservations
of where I was to sleep
those insects can get anywhere
God knows where they might creep
and so I slept in Emma's tent
A brand new spacious dome
and looked back at my lonely tent
